NEW TIRES FOR A SAFER AND MORE PLEASANT DRIVE

Fresh tires not only make your car grip the road better, they can lower fuel consumption as well. Worn-out or hardened tires have higher rolling resistance, which means more engine power is needed to move the same load.

With latest energy saving design tires consist of low rolling resistance with no compromise on traction and safety. Independent tests have shown that tires with 30 percent lower rolling resistance can cut fuel consumption by up to five percent.

Old tires also lose their ability to grip well, especially on wet roads. New tires with their deeper grooves channel water away more effectively so the tread always maintains contact with the road surface.

Besides providing more grips for safer accelerating, braking and cornering performance, a new set of tires can also improve the ride comfort of your cat.

WHEN SHOULD MY TIRES BE REPLACED?

In general, tires should be rotated front-to-rear every 10,000km to ensure even wear. They should be replaced once the tread wear indicators (located in the main grooves) start to show, or preferably even earlier than that.

Most tires can last up to 40,000km depending on driving conditions.

If you're unsure, any service centers near your place can perform a tire safety check and advise you if a new set of tires is necessary.
